The menopausal transition is more than just the end of our reproductive potential. It’s a time of change – physically and mentally. A shift that can leave us doubting our mind and body.

Up until recent times women have been deprived of the necessary information to tackle perimenopause and menopause with confidence and knowledge. The recent influx of information and resources available is a promising pivot, but it can feel overwhelming to digest.

When we are experiencing so much change, where do we even start?

It took me three years of navigating the health system before I found the help I needed.

My Background

I am a certified Menopause Champion (Menopause Experts license), experienced crisis support respondent and have worked in community pharmacy for over 25 years.

Throughout my diverse career, I have encountered many women that feel lost and overwhelmed in their mid-phase of life.

In pharmacy, I routinely saw women prescribed anti-depressants and anxiety medication as band-aid solutions to menopause symptoms.

In crisis support centres, I spoke to countless women who were overwhelmed by a mid-life surge of complex emotions and self doubt.

In my network, I was surrounded by women who felt change trickling into every aspect of their life, ready to pursue a new passion, make a life shift, or try different things. 

Amongst my closest friendships, we shared our struggles with getting the help, support and clarity we so desperately craved. 

The common thread was clear.

 Women everywhere are craving the support and information to better understand menopause and these mid-life changes.

The Mid Shift was born out of dire need, and a desire to help women embrace their mid shift with confidence.
